Happy New Year │ lipsticksandlevis

Hello everyone!

Happy New Year! Now, I know that we're not quite there but we only have a few hours of 2014 left which seems mad because I don't know if it is just me but this year really does seem to have gone a lot quicker than any other that I can remember. So, this is the time of year that everyone starts to think about their new year's resolutions and what things they want to change next year. I'm not really one for new years resolutions.. mainly because I find them really difficult to stick to! But, this year I just have two things that I want to talk to you about that I am going to call my new years resolutions.

The first is being more organised. I'm a very organised person when it comes to everyone and everything else apart from myself. I'm always making lists, whether they're things that I need to remember or things that I need to do. I have tonnes of lists scattered across notebooks and even the notes section on my phone but that's just it, everything is all over the place and surely it would be so much easier to have everything in one place. So, I took to Google and searched for a company that made something that would help me become more organised for 2015, somewhere that I can keep everything that I need, all in one place. That's when I found Personal Planner. On their website, you can completely customise your very own personal planner. You can choose everything from the layout to colours and what goes on each page, and can even include birthdays of friends and family. I really feel like having this exactly how I want it will mean that I can be organised in every way that I need, from writing here on my blog to what shifts I am working that week.

The front cover of my planner, and the little notebook I keep inside. I use the notebook for making notes on future blog posts.

I keep these stickers in there, mainly because they're cute, but also to stick next to extra important things to make them stand out.
I chose to have sections for To Do lists, because I'm constantly writing them, now they're all in here! and also little symbols where I can write my shifts for work.
I use the yearly overview section to put in people's birthdays.

The second thing that I want to call a new years resolution is trying to keep happy and positive about anything that I may come across during 2015. I struggle to stay positive about things due to my anxiety, but I really want to try and combat that next year. I have two books that I like to flick through and look at when I'm not feeling my best. They have some gorgeous images and inspirational quotes. I also want to use my polaroid camera a lot more, to capture some amazing memories and keep them forever!

I hope that you have been left somewhat inspired to make your own new years resolutions!
Have you made any already? What are they?
