March Favourites │ lipsticksandlevis

Hello everyone!

As it's now the first of April (already?!), I thought that I would tell you about some of the products that I have been praising for the last month! I have actually got quite a few favourites this months, maybe even twice as many as I usually have. I have been switching up the make-up products that I use a lot more regularly than I usually do, and have finished a few products so gone on to use something else that I've loved! So, maybe get yourself a cup of tea and get comfy because this could be quite a lengthy post.

I have rediscovered my love for this foundation this month, after being hooked on the L'Oreal True Match foundation for a good couple of months. As I've already said, I've been switching up my make-up routine a lot more this past month and been digging up my old favourites. I love this foundation. I love the finish of it, it gives a good coverage, but nothing too cakey. I have a lot of redness around my nose, and recently on my cheeks too and this covers it right up. I don't know why I ever pushed this to the back of my dressing table drawer, because it's definitely one of my favourite all time foundations!

I only got this product half way through the month but it has fast become my concealer of choice for using under my eyes. It's quite a runny consistency, so feels light when worn underneath my eyes, but it still covers everything that I want it to. It also doesn't crease on me which is brilliant! The only thing I don't like about it is that it comes out of the pump quite quick, so I find myself wasting some of the excess product that squirted onto my hand.

Recently, I had found myself reaching for the Zoeva Silk Finish Brush every time if was applying foundation, because it was there, closed by, and all I had to do was dab it in the foundation and blend it into my face. I stopped using the Real Techniques Sponge, purely because I couldn't be bothered to go to the bathroom and dampen the sponge. I guess you could say I became quite lazy with applying my make-up and just found myself wanting to get it slapped onto my face as quickly as I could. However, I decided to get up off my bum and dampen the sponge and it honestly makes blending out foundation and concealer so effortless and it helps to blend everything out seamlessly. I always reach for my Real Techniques sponge now, it makes make-up application so mu quicker and easier.

I bought this for my holiday to Mallorca last year, to use on the plane as a bit of a skin refresher so that the flight didn't dry my skin out too much. I used it once on the flight there, and again on the flight home and had just forgotten about it since then. This month I have started to use it regularly. I have quite sensitive skin and at the moment it is also very dry. Whenever I feel like my skin is in need of a pick me up I just give it a few spritzes of this and it just refreshes my skin and makes it feel less agitated. I also like to use it in place of my toner occasionally, just as an extra treat for my skin. Love love love.

Can this count as a March favourite if I only rediscovered it a few days ago? I'm going to count it anyway. I completely forgot that I owned this nail varnish, until I was sifting through my nail varnish drawer because I just couldn't decide which colour to chose. I have been loving pastel colours recently, as we've come into Spring so rediscovering this came at the right time! I have completely fallen back in love with this nail varnish. It has quite a wide brush applicator, so covers your nail in no time. The formula is quite thick, so two coats and you're done, and it's super glossy which I absolutely love. After rediscovering my love for this nail varnish, I definitely want to look into getting some other shades from the range as this is the only one I own.

As I previously mentioned, my skin has been super dry recently and I am partly to blame because I was using a Tea Tree toner which is a drying product in itself. I was using the Tea Tree toner when I got a few little breakouts, to help dry out the spots and rid my face of them quicker. I didn't have much of that product left and didn't want to push it to the back of my skincare drawer like that, so continued to use it until it was empty which, I guess, added to the dryness of my skin. I know, I only have myself to blame, but now that toner is empty, I started to use my back up, The Body Shop's Vitamin E Hydrating Toner. I am all about any skincare product that contains the word hydrating at the minute, so this came at the perfect time. Since swapping this for the Tea Tree one, I have noticed that my skin is slowly getting back to the normal balance between dry and oily that it usually is. You don't need much and you can't really feel it on your skin which is brilliant for me because I don't like to feel my skincare products sitting on the surface of my skin. I like to know that they are sinking in and working right down through the layers in my skin.

Superdrug Mud Therapy Raspberry Exfoliationg Mud Mask -
I have had this mask for rather a long time, but not really used it because if I use a face mask that I love, I tend to stick to it until it runs out. I am now hooked on this one, it has raspberry seeds and apricot kernels in it so when you massage it onto your skin, they exfoliate and remove those dead skin cells. It is a clay mask so super cleansing and purifying. I always find that after using this my skin feels very refreshed and a lot smoother too. I'm sure you'll be seeing this in an empties post soon because I have a feeling this will be my face mask of choice until it runs out!

Shaving soap, a bit of a weird one, I know. But, as 'leg shaving season' is back in have been shaving my legs a lot more often that I would do during the winter. I know I'm not the only to do this, admit it, you all do it too! I have been using this instead of a shaving foam or cream. I just get a little dollop and rub it between my fingers and then massage it onto my skin. I feel like it softens the hairs and the skin, making it easier for my razor to glide along the skin and cut the hairs. It also leaves your skin so, amazingly soft afterwards so almost no need for a body butter!

I got this not too long ago, as you will know if you saw my little Avon Haul, but I already love it! I have used it maybe three times, in between my shampoo and conditioner, and have noticed a significant difference in the softness of my hair each time. It makes my hair so, unbelievably soft, and even takes away some of the natural frizz that I get in my hair which is a massive bonus! Since I had about five inches chopped off the lengths of my hair, it's condition has improved immensely and I am doing everything that I can to keep it that way. I already know that this is going to be one of those products that I always go to to keep my hair in good condition and give it a pick me up when it's looking a bit dull.

What products have you been loving throughout March?
